Redshirt freshman who adds dependable depth at tight end . . . All-around solid athlete with the capability to contribute as a blocker or pass-catcher . . . Improved tremendously over the course of his redshirt season and is eager to become an immediate factor on offense.

2006: Redshirt season.
 
High School: Starred on both sides of the ball as a prep standout at Choctaw High School . . . Named honorable mention All-State, All-District and All-Big City after recording 64 tackles and nine sacks as a senior . . . Also reeled in a pair of touchdown catches for the Yellowjackets . . . State qualifier in the discus.

Personal: A general studies major . . . Names NFL stars Jeremy Shockey and Kellen Winslow Jr. as his favorite athletes . . . Birthdate is Dec. 3, 1987.
