Senior standout back for another tour of starting duty at defense . . . Enters preseason drills as the top weakside linebacker and is a steadying influence who the Bronchos know they can count on . . . Has started most of his career, an intelligent player and sure tackler who makes plenty of plays.

2005: Was a potential redshirt candidate after missing the first two games to injury, but rejoined the lineup and went on to record 27 tackles while missing one other game to injury . . . Had five tackles with one for loss and a pass broken up in his first game back and had three other outings with four-plus tackles.

2004:  Finished fifth on the team in tackles with 48, missing one game to injury . . . Had 3.5 tackles for loss, including one sack, and scored first career touchdown on 17-yard fumble return early in 34-21 win over Angelo State . . . Recorded five-plus tackles in six games, capped by nine-tackle effort against ASU that included the fumble return, a sack and a forced fumble . . . Had eight tackles against Texas A&M-Kingsville and seven vs. West Texas A&M.

2003:  Had a fantastic freshman season, finishing second on the team in tackles with 84 total stops . . . Had 25 solo tackles with 59 assists while adding 2.5 tackles for loss and one interception . . . Collected career-high 16 tackles in win over Northeastern State and had 13-tackle effort against LSC North Division champion Tarleton State . . . Interception helped fuel come-from-behind win over Texas A&M-Commerce.

High School:  Baseball-football star at Weatherford High School . . .District 4A-1 Player of the Year and an All-Stater on the gridiron as a senior after collecting 208 tackles for state runner-up team . . . Finished with 524 career tackles . . . Also an All-State pick in baseball after helping the Eagles to the Class 4A state championship.

Personal:  An industrial safety major . . . Father (David) played football at Northwestern Oklahoma and grandfather (Jerry) played at Oklahoma . . . Enjoys hunting and fishing as his main hobbies . . . Lists Brett Favre as his favorite sports star . . . Birthdate is April 23, 1984.
