Athletic rookie who has a chance to step in and help immediately on the defensive interior this fall.

High School:  Three-sport star at Sulphur High School . . . Two-way standout on the gridiron and also a state champion in both wrestling and track . . . Captured Class 3A heavyweight state title as a junior and was undefeated as a senior before having to default out of the state tournament after suffering a first-round knee injury . . . Three-time state winner in the discus.

Personal:  A business major . . . Names the Indianapolis Colts as his favorite professional team . . . Lists "Friday Night Lights" as his top sports movie . . . Birthdate is June 28, 1991.
