Biography


Savvy senior veteran who will once again be one of UCO’s top defenders . . . Has started throughout his career and is battling for the top spot at free safety this season . . . Will get loads of time on the field, a tough competitor and playmaker who the Bronchos know they can depend on.

2005: Finished third on the team in tackles, making 49 stops while also recovering a team-high four fumbles . . . Scored two touchdowns, returning a fumble 43 yards for a score against Texas A&M-Kingsville and recovering a bobbled punt in the end zone for the clinching TD in win over Abilene Christian . . . Had career-high 11 tackles in TAMUK contest and made nine stops against Missouri Western . . . Recovered two fumbles against East Central and lone interception came in season-ending win over Northeastern State.


2004: Played in all 10 games, finishing with 22 tackles . . . Had four tackles apiece in wins over Abilene Christian and Southwestern Oklahoma and made three stops in East Central victory.

2003: Started all season, collecting 53 tackles with three interceptions . . . Picked off two passes in road win over Southwest Baptist, returning the second 37 yards to the SBU six-yard-line to set up a Broncho touchdown . . . Returned other interception 90 yards for a touchdown in season-opening rout of Mesa State, adding a career-high nine tackles in that contest

2002: Redshirted.

High School: Two-way star at Duncan High School, passing for 1,500 yards and registering 136 tackles with nine interceptions for the Demons as a senior in earning All-District honors . . . Also lettered in basketball.

Personal: A general studies major with hopes of joining the Oklahoma Highway Patrol . . . Enjoys playing golf as his top hobby . . .  Brother (Brian) was a standout linebacker for the Bronchos in the late 1990s . . . Birthdate is Oct. 5, 1982.
