Adam McGuire joined the Central Oklahoma football coaching staff in 2022 and serves as defensive backs coach for the Bronchos. He will also be the program's academic liaison.

In his first season with the program, McGuire helped with a defense that had three All-MIAA selections, including defensive back Kobey Stephens. The Bronchos posted a 6-5 record in 2022, which was the first season above .500 for Central Oklahoma since 2018.

McGuire spent two seasons at Texas Christian in Fort Worth, Texas, serving in an off-the-field role on defense. He was a graduate assistant for the 2020 season before being promoted to defensive analyst in 2021. McGuire played a big role in TCU’s recruiting efforts, while also assisting in a secondary that saw four defensive backs sign to NFL rosters.

Prior to TCU, McGuire spent three seasons at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. There he led the Tiger secondary, as well as assist with all special teams duties. The Tigers saw a tremendous growth in production in the time that McGuire was there, and won their first conference championship in his final season with the program since rejoining the SAA.

McGuire, who is a native of Baytown, Texas in southeast Houston, got his masters in Liberal Arts at TCU, and a bachelor of arts at Texas Lutheran University.
