Division I transfer and the front-runner to take over as the starter at free safety . . . Local high school product who spent three years at Tulsa before coming to UCO for the spring semester and showcased a variety of skills in moving atop the depth chart . . . Will be a key defender and is set for a breakthrough season.

Tulsa: Redshirted in 2003 and then lettered in a back-up role the following season while making seven tackles in 10 games before playing sparingly last year.

High School: Three-sport standout at Memorial High School in Edmond . . . Three-year starter in football as a receiver-defensive back, finishing with 1,246 receiving yards and 180 tackles for his career . . . Was an All-District and Edmond Sun All-City selection as a senior after making 63 tackles with six passes broken up, three interceptions and three fumble recoveries . . . Also lettered in basketball and track.
