Biography

Impressive rookie pitcher who should step in and provide immediate help . . . Right-hander with excellent command of his pitches and really knows how to handle himself on the mound . . . Should see plenty of playing time in relief, perhaps as a closer, and could also vie for a starting berth.

High School:  Enjoyed a stellar career at Carl Albert High School while helping lead the Titans to a pair of state titles . . . All-Conference pick and Oklahoman Big All-City selection as a senior after going 7-0 with three saves and a paltry 1.73 earned run average . . . Also batted .393 with 10 doubles and four home runs last year . . . Also an All-Conference performer in basketball.

Personal:  A business finance major . . . Lists Tim Lincecum as his favorite athlete . . . Birthdate is June 19, 1991.
