Junior pitcher coming off a medical redshirt year who will contend for a spot in the starting rotation . . . Tough competitor with the ability to be a main contributor . . . Sat out last year after transferring.

Juco:  Went 6-2 with a 2.70 earned run average at Redlands Community College in 2008 and was 7-4 with a 3.20 ERA as a sophomore.

High School:  Attended Kingswood College in Australia.

Personal:  A kinesiology major . . . Enjoys surfing as a hobby . . . Lists the Boston Red Sox as his top pro team . . . Birthdate is June 19, 1988.
