Biography

Junior pitcher returning to the field after a two-year layoff and is looking to work his way into the starting rotation . . . Played two seasons at Galveston (Texas) College before going to Division I Houston and redshirting in 2013 . . . Didn’t play last year, but showed what he’s capable of during fall drills and is a strong-armed left-hander capable of becoming a major force on the mound.
 
Juco:  Played two years for the Whitecaps, batting .293 and striking out 28 in 41 1/3 innings with a 2.18 earned run average as a sophomore.
 
High School:  All-District and All-Region selection as a senior at Ball High School in Galveston after hitting .449 and putting together a 2.78 ERA on the mound . . . Also lettered in golf.
 
Personal:  General studies major who wants to become a coach . . . Enjoys golf as a hobby . . . Names the Houston Astros as his favorite team . . . Lists “Rookie of the Year” as his top movie . . . Birthdate is Nov. 12, 1991.
