Hard-throwing senior pitcher looking to become the staff ace this season . . . Came to UCO at the semester break last year and saw action mainly in relief until taking over as a starter down the stretch . . . Showed what he could do in that role and has a chance to be one of the best in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association in 2014 . . . Played two years at Eastern Oklahoma College and then spent the fall of 2012 at Western Kentucky before coming to UCO.

2013:  Went 5-2 and had a 4.73 earned run average while pitching in 17 games with six starts . . . Started the second game of the season and then came on in relief his next 11 appearances before moving back into the starting rotation down the stretch . . . Made five straight starts to end the season and threw 30 of his 45 2/3 innings in that span, striking out 22 and going 2-1 with a 4.50 ERA . . . Tossed nine-inning complete game in final appearance of the year, giving up just one earned run while fanning seven in 9-2 win over Emporia State to complete a two-game sweep in the first round of the MIAA Tournament . . . Earned other win as starter with six-inning stint against Nebraska-Kearney . . . Picked up wins in relief against Missouri Southern, Northwest Missouri and Lincoln.

Juco:  Struck out 23 batters in 29 innings while earning two saves as a sophomore at EOC in 2012.

High School:  Prep standout at Holland Hall High School in Tulsa and a 21st-round draft pick of the Boston Red Sox following his senior season.
