Biography

Senior slugger set to move to the outfield this spring after starting in the infield last year . . . Saw most of his action at third base and shortstop in 2009 after playing five different positions the season before, but is slated to be the top center fielder in 2010 . . . Showed last year just how productive he can be at the plate and is looking to do even more in his final campaign.

2009:  Put together a stellar season while starting in 51 of 53 games played, hitting .357 with 13 doubles, seven home runs and a team-high 53 RBI. . . Got 33 starts at third and 16 at third while also starting one game each at catcher and second base . . . Produced 20 multi-hit games and had three hitting streaks of at least six games . . . Hit .545 (18-for-33) with 13 RBI during a nine-game streak and batted a torrid .556 (10-for-18) with 11 RBI in a six-game streak to end the season . . . Had a pair of four-hit outings, going 4-for-5 with a double, homer and three RBI in win over Abilene Christian and 4-for-4 with a double, homer and five RBI in a victory over Texas A&M-Kingsville . . . Topped those with a 3-for-3, two-homer, eight-RBI performance in late-season rout of Northeastern State.

2008:  Played in 45 games with 23 starts, seeing action at second base, shortstop, left field, center field and right field . . . Batted .305 with six doubles, one triple, one home run and 26 RBI while also stealing 11 bases . . . Had nine multi-hit games and drove in six runs in back-to-back games against East Central.

2007:  Missed most of the season to injury, but earned a hardship to retain a year of eligibility . . . Went 2-0 with an 0.00 ERA in three relief appearances and hit .400 with five runs scored in 10 at-bats.

Juco:  Hit .365 with nine home runs and 65 RBI to earn All-Conference honors as a freshman at Clarendon (Texas) College.

High School:  Two-sport standout at Elk City High School . . . All-District and All-Region selection in both baseball and basketball.

Personal:  A physical education major looking to become a college athletic director . . . Brother (Matt) was a former standout at UCO . . . Lists fishing and golfing among his top off-field activities . . . Birthdate is June 5, 1986.
