Biography

Senior shortstop is one of the best players in the MIAA ... Has a powerful bat that is in the lineup everyday and is put to use almost every single day ... Can hit it in the gap or just over the fence ... Adds a force to the front of the lineup that has helped Central's offense over the past two seasons ... Also adds a steady glove in the field for the Bronchos ... Helped UCO set a Division II record for fielding percentage in a single season in 2019 and was on a similar trend in 2020 before the shutdown ... Transferred to UCO from Iowa before junior season ... Will compete in second senior season this spring.

2020: Appeared in just 12 games before the shutdown last season but was highly valuable when in the lineup ... Hit .293, going a combined 12-for-41 with eight extra-base hits ... Had 12 hits in 12 games, including seven doubles and one home run ... Scored 11 runs in 12 games and had eight RBIs ... Also drew seven walks and was hit by a pitch twice ... Had a .537 slugging percentage and a .412 on-base percentage ... Went 2-for-4 with two doubles and three runs scored in season-opening win over Henderson State ... Went 4-for-5 with a home run, two doubles and two runs scored in another win at Henderson State ... Also had a multi-hit game against Oklahoma Baptist, part of Central's biggest comeback of the year (winning 14-9 after trailing 8-0).

2019: Appeared in 56 games for the Bronchos as a junior and started all 56 ... Had a .279 batting average in 208 at bats, scattering 58 hits throughout the season ... Had 13 doubles and 10 home runs ... Scored 40 runs and had 40 RBIs ... Also drew 30 walks ... Had 14 multi-hit games including three straight in the NCAA Tournament ... Had a season-high three hits twice, on Feb. 3 against Oklahoma Christian and April 20 against Fort Hays State ... Season-high three RBIs in same two games ... Had a .979 fielding percentage on the season, committing only seven errors at shortstop ... Helped team to .985 fielding percentage to set a new NCAA record for one team in a single season.

Iowa: Played in 78 games at Iowa over two seasons ... Started 51 of 52 games as a sophomore ... Hit .247 with 41 runs and 33 RBIs as a sophomore, scoring at least one run in 28 games ... Top 10 in Big Ten in both HBP (12) and walks (34) ... Hit a game-winning home run in the first collegiate game he ever played.

High School: Multi-sport star out of Council Bluffs, Iowa ... Is a state record holder for made 3-pointers in one basketball game ... Also starred on the tennis court ... Earned All-State honors in baseball and basketball.
