Biography

Versatile senior and key team leader who will play a variety of roles this season . . . Tenacious competitor and a tough, hard-nosed player with a multitude of talents . . . Is set to be in the starting rotation on the mound and has a number of pitches at his disposal . . . Will also see action at third base and elsewhere in the infield if needed . . . Is an offensive threat as well and is ready for a banner final season.

2010:  Played in 33 games with 32 starts, finishing with a .303 average, six doubles and 12 runs batted in while also going 3-3 with an 8.58 earned run average . . . Started 27 games at third base, five at designated hitter and five at pitcher . . . Had eight multi-hit games and drove in multiple runs twice . . . Went 4-for-4 with two runs and an RBI in series opener against Eastern New Mexico . . . Drove in a season-high three runs with 2-for-4, two-double outing in season-ending win over Northeastern State . . . Pitched in 12 games overall, going 35 2/3 innings . . . Threw three shutout innings to gain the win in UCO’s 10-8 upset of No. 1-ranked Emporia State . . . Went the distance in a nine inning 7-2 victory over Angelo State, scattering nine hits while striking out two and walking none . . . Other win come in relief outing against Southwestern Oklahoma.

Juco:  Played two years at Seward County (Kan.) Community College.

High School:  Enjoyed a sensational career at small-school power Leedey High School, batting .398 with 93 RBI while going 27-4 with a 3.25 ERA on the mound . . . Also a basketball standout for the Bison.

Personal:  A safety education major . . . Sister (Karmen) played softball for two years at UCO . . . Birthdate is Sept. 29, 1988.
