Biography

Senior hurler expected to be one of UCO's main starters this spring . . . Had a solid junior season for the Bronchos and is a strong-armed right-hander who can eat up a lot of innings on the mound . . . Has had success at every level and is looking to end his career with a flourish.

2011:  Appeared in 10 games with seven starts, finishing 4-3 with one save and a 7.01 earned run average . . . Pitched at least four innings in five of seven starts and went the distance once, allowing just five hits in seven innings while striking out six and walking none in 4-1 win over Arlington Baptist in his final appearance of the season . . . Also picked up wins in starts against Cameron, Oklahoma Christian and West Texas A&M . . . Earned lone save in the season opener, getting the final two outs to preserve 7-6 win over Northwood.

Juco:  Went 12-5 during two years at Northern Oklahoma-Enid . . . Was 5-4 with a 3.10 earned run average as a freshman in 2009, striking out 59 and walking 21 in a team-high 66 2/3 innings . . . Earned All-Region honors as a sophomore last year after going 7-1 with a 4.36 ERA, fanning 39 and walking just 16 in a team-leading 66 innings.

High School:  Three-sport star at Pauls Valley High School, earning All-Conference honors in baseball, basketball and football . . . Was also an honorable mention All-Stater on the diamond for the Panthers.

Personal:  An education major looking to become a college baseball coach . . . Birthdate is July 17, 1989.
