Biography

Senior transfer from Division I Texas Tech ready to make an impact on the pitching staff . . . Will definitely challenge for a spot in the starting rotation and has a chance to be a big factor this season . . . Right-handed hurler with a lively fastball and an excellent slider.

TTU:  Spent four years with the Red Raiders, redshirting in 2007 and seeing limited duty the next three years . . . Made six relief appearances as a redshirt freshman in 2008 and then went 0-2 in eight relief outings as a sophomore . . . Made two starts last year, going 0-1.

High School:  Threw a no-hitter while striking out 15 during junior season at Plano (Texas) Senior High School . . . All-District pick as a senior after leading the team to the district title.

Personal:  An advertising major . . . Names the Texas Rangers as his top professional team . . . Enjoys cooking among his hobbies . . . Birthdate is Oct. 7, 1987.
