Biography

Senior star and prime offensive weapon who will handle the starting duties at first base again this season . . . Ranks among the finest players in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association and Central Region, with the Bronchos looking for another banner campaign from this proven performer . . . Transferred to UCO last year and had an immediate impact, both at the plate and in the field . . . Team leader and left-handed batter with ability to hit for both power and average . . . Played at Oral Roberts and Neosho County (Kan.) Community College before coming to UCO.
 
2014:  Put together a fabulous junior season in earning a myriad of post-season honors . . . Finished second in the conference in both average (.419) and on-base percentage (.509) while adding 13 doubles, four home runs and 32 runs batted in . . . Was a first-team All-MIAA selection in addition to earning first-team All-Central Region honors by the American Baseball Coaches Association and second-team All-Region accolades by Daktronics and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association . . . Started in 42 of 48 games played, with 41 of those at first and one at designated hitter . . . Had 16 multi-hit games, including a streak of five straight during one stretch . . . Drove in two-plus runs nine times and had 12 two-out RBI . . . Batted .441 (15-for-34) as a lead-off hitter . . . Had a .600 average (21-for-35) with five doubles and 12 RBI during season-high nine-game hitting streak . . . Reached base the final 24 games of the season.
 
ORU/Juco:  Spent freshman year with the Golden Eagles, hitting .211 in limited action with two doubles, one home run and four RBI . . . Helped guide Neosho to fifth-place showing in the national tournament in 2013, hitting a game-winning homer during the World Series . . . Batted .304 with 14 doubles, four homers and 34 RBI.
 
High School:  Four-year letterman at powerhouse Bishop Kelley High School, earning Tulsa World All-Metro and All-Conference honors twice . . . Helped lead the Comets to the state championship as a senior . . . Finished with .375 career average and 17 homers while also racking up a 23-6 record on the mound . . . Also an All-Conference pick in football as a senior and a two-year basketball letterman.
 
Personal:  Finance major . . . Father (Carl) played baseball and mother (Michele) softball at Missouri Southern . . . Names the St. Louis Cardinals as his top team . . . Lists Ryan Bingham as his favorite musician . . . Birthdate is Sept. 3, 1992.
