Biography

Senior right-handed pitcher who helps the Bronchos as both a starter and a reliever ... Is savvy with his pitch location and can ahead in the count with ease ... Doesn't allow teams to get many runs on the board - if any at all ... Is a smart pitcher who trusts his defense to make plays ... Has not allowed a walk in 18 of 43 career appearances ... Started his junior season as a starter, then moved to the bullpen, and back into the starting rotation ... Showed flashes of dominance in each stop along the way ... Transferred from Northern Oklahoma-Enid after spending two seasons (one redshirt) at the junior college.

2017: Had a strong junior campaign, going 6-3 in 21 appearances (seven starts) while boasting a 2.86 earned run average ... Threw 69 1/3 innings, allowed 69 hits, and had 39 strikeouts to just 21 walks ... Was a solid contributor to the Broncho lineup in both the bullpen and the starting rotation ... Had a big game - albeit a no decision - in eliminating MIAA foe Missouri Western from the national tournament ... Threw 7 1/3 strong innings, allowing just one earned run and struck out a season-high five as the Bronchos advanced closer to its NCAA Tournament Regional Finals appearance ... Picked up his sixth and final win of the season a week prior as UCO ousted Mo. West from the MIAA Tournament ... Threw 5 1/3 that day, allowing just one earned on six hits ... Didn't allow an earned run in 10 of 21 appearances on the season ... Had a season-high six scoreless innings to lead UCO to a win over fifth-ranked Emporia State.

2016: Threw 43 2/3 innings as a sophomore, striking out 26 while allowing just 14 walks ... Finished season with a 6.18 ERA and an 0-3 win-loss record ... Made 22 appearances and three starts ... Struck out season-high four against Lindenwood and Missouri Western ... Did not walk a batter in 12 of 22 appearances.
 
JUCO: Spent two years with the Jets, redshirting in 2014 before playing major role on pitching staff last season ... Appeared in 17 games in 2015, going 2-1 with three saves and a stellar 2.93 earned run average ... Struck out 23 and walked just four in 27 2/3 innings.
 
High School: Multi-sport star at Mulhall-Orlando High School ... Two-time All-Conference pick and honorable mention All-State selection in baseball ... Also earned All-Conference honors twice in basketball and was a two-time state placer in cross country for the Panthers.
