Biography

Senior starting pitcher and one of the best arms in the country ready for second go-around with the Bronchos this spring ... Can fill up the stat sheet with strikeouts but also knows how to just get an out ... Finds the strike zone with regularity and does so in a controlled process ... Is an All-Region pitcher with All-American ability and could possibly be the next in line of Central MLB Draft Picks this summer ... Transferred to UCO from Virginia Tech before junior season.

2019: Made 16 starts for the Bronchos as a junior, tied for the most in one season in school history, and set the school record for strikeouts in a single season with 123 ... Also threw 106 1/3 innings, the third-most in school history ... Finished the season with an 8-4 record and a 3.22 earned run average ... Had five double-digit strikeout games, including 14 in a win over Fort Hays State on April 18, a mark that stands atop the UCO record book ... He also threw a one-hitter that day, just the second nine-inning one-hitter in school history ... Only allowed 26 walks all season ... Earned First Team All-MIAA and First Team All-Region from both the Conference Commissioners Association and the American Baseball Coaches Association.

VT: Appeared in 34 games for the Hokies over two seasons in Blacksburg ... Made 10 starts as a sophomore in 2018 and struck out 37 batters in 46 innings ... Struck out 20 in 23 innings as a freshman in 2017, serving all 17 appearances that season as a reliever.

HS: All-American pitcher at Mountain Home High School in Stafford, Va. ... Threw a perfect game during senior season.
