Junior college transfer expected to provide key pitching help this spring . . . Crafty left-hander with superb control who can be used in any situation . . . Will probably start the season as a reliever, but is also capable of starting and should see plenty of action.

Juco:  Played two years at Cowley County (Kan.) Community College, helping the team to the junior college World Series as a freshman . . . Academic All-Conference pick as a sophomore.

High School:  Edmond Sun All-City selection as a senior at Memorial High School in Edmond after going 7-2 with a 2.80 earned run average . . . Helped lead the Bulldogs to a pair of state tournament berths and also played on the Oklahoma Sunbelt All-Star team.

Personal:  A psychology major . . . Enjoys fishing and golf as his main off-field hobbies . . . Names Los Angeles Dodgers Hall of Famer Sandy Koufax as his favorite sports star . . . Birthdate is June 22, 1988.
