Biography

Right-handed pitcher with plenty of experience ready for his second sophomore season ... Sat out a redshirt year, then made 15 appearances in second year and eight more last year as a sophomore before the shutdown ... Crafty pitcher that gets outs ... Is a high-IQ player ... Is versatile arm that can contribute in the rotation where needed.

2020: Made eight appearances, all in relief, as a sophomore in 2020 ... Went 4-0 with one save and a 1.04 earned run average ... Allowed just 10 hits in 17.1 innings of work and struck out 21 batters in that same time ... Struck out more than one batter in 6 of 8 appearances ... Gave up only two runs all season ... One of seven UCO pitchers to allow two or less runs on the season ... Earned first win of the year after 3.1 innings and five strikeouts in relief duty against Northwestern Oklahoma State ... Earned the win against East Central with one inning of work (two strikeouts) ... Earned a four-inning save against Metro State Denver after throwing an effective relief outing that included a season-high six strikeouts ... Also earned a win against Newman (2.0 IP, 2K) and Fort Hays State (2.1 IP, 1K).

2019: Made 15 appearances during redshirt freshman season, including eight starts ... Finished the year with a 1-3 record and a 5.88 earned run average ... Struck out 30 batters in 41 1/3 innings pitched ... Made career debut against Oklahoma Christian on Feb. 3 and struck out the first batter he faced ... Earned first career win in a six-inning start against Arkansas Tech on Feb. 10 ... Struck out a season-high seven in a no decision against East Central ... Struck out four batters in a game on three different occasions.

2018: Sat out redshirt season.

High School: National Honor Society ... Two-time All-Metro selection out of Broken Arrow ... Was a three-year starter on the varsity team and helped the Tigers to the Class 6A state semifinals ... Earned Player of the Year honors in 2016 and Defensive POY in 2015.

Personal: Criminal Justice major and would like to become an FBI agent ... Lists the Chicago Cubs as his top pro sports team ... Birthdate is Sept. 22, 1998.
