Todd George

Todd George returned to the Bronchos in 2018 after spending the previous two seasons at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa and has had a tremendous impact as Central's pitching coach over the past two seasons.

George came to UCO in the fall of 2014 and spent the 2015 season as the Broncho pitching coach. He resumed those duties upon his return and helped lead the Bronchos MIAA Championship in 2018. UCO's pitching staff also led the league in strikeouts, tallying nearly 500 Ks on the year. It was the second-most strikeouts in one season for UCO since 2000. He also coached Central's second MLB Draft Pick in as many years, Austin Lambright, who was taken by the Kansas City Royals in the 10th round of the 2018 draft.

In 2019, the Bronchos topped their previous mark with 548 strikeouts. George guided starter Dylan Hall to a single season school record 123 strikeouts and a trio of All-Region accolades. The Bronchos also had the top three appearances marks for pitchers last season and were among the national leaders in team ERA, team strikeouts, and had one of the best Ks per nine innings in the country.

George helped ORU to an 81-37 record from 2016-17. He came to UCO previously from Seminole State College, which he led to a 41-18 mark in 2014, directing one of the best pitching staffs in the country. George has also coached at Oklahoma Baptist and Southwestern Oklahoma State.

A native of Oklahoma City, George spent several years playing professional baseball. After playing collegiately for Seminole, Texas-Arlington, and OBU, he went on to play in the Montreal Expos organization before beginning his coaching career.

Todd is married (Kadie) and has one daughter (Elliott).
