Biography

Returning starter set to switch positions this spring . . . Started all last year in left field, but is scheduled to take over at second base in 2013 . . . Gritty, hard-nosed competitor who makes things happen with his speed and hustle . . . Athletic senior leader ready to end his career on a high note and will play a key role in UCO’s hopes for success.
 
2012:  Started 37 games, all in left field, and finished with a .244 average . . . Hit seven doubles and two home runs while also stealing eight bases . . . Had a .467 average (14-of-30) when leading off . . . Opened the season with an eight-game hitting streak . . . Had seven multi-hit games, including three straight late in the season.
 
Juco:  Two-year starter at Midland (Texas) College . . . Batted .288 as a freshman and hit .308 with 10 doubles, three home runs and 30 runs scored in 2011.
 
High School:  Baseball-football star at Boswell High School in Saginaw, Texas . . . Three-time All-District pick in both and set five school records on the gridiron.
 
Personal:  General studies major looking to become a coach . . . Older brother (Coby) played baseball at Texas A&M and spent several years in the minor leagues for the Washington Nationals organization . . . Father (Jim), sister (Ally) and another brother (Cory) all played sports at Abilene Christian . . . Enjoys snowboarding among his hobbies . . . Names the Texas Rangers as his favorite professional team . . . Birthdate is Dec. 13, 1989.
