Biography

Two-year letterman ready to see duty as one of UCO's top pitchers again this season . . . Experienced right-handed hurler with good velocity and owns a variety of pitches . . . Tough competitor who is expected to fill a starting role after serving mainly as a reliever the past two years . . . Will be a key member of the staff and is primed for a big season.

2009:  Appeared in a team-high 19 games with two starts and went 5-0 with three saves and a 5.44 earned run average . . . Struck out 43 batters in 46 1/3 innings . . . Started and went a season-high 5 1/3 innings in 15-5 win over Northeastern State in the season finale . . . Struck out six in that contest and in a 4 2/3-inning relief stint against Abilene Christian early in the year . . . Came out of the bullpen to pick up wins against Missouri Southern, Cameron, Missouri S&T and Eastern New Mexico . . . Pitched three innings of no-hit relief but didn't figure in the decision in a win over Texas A&M-Kingsville . . . Saves came against East Central, Southwestern Oklahoma and Tarleton State.

2008:  Saw limited action as a true freshman, appearing in six games with two starts . . . Went 1-0, with the win coming in 3 1/3-inning, five-strikeout relief stint against Indianapolis . . . Pitched a season-high 4 1/3 innings against East Central, giving up five hits and two earned runs.

High School:  Two-sport athlete at Taloga High School . . . Helped lead the Panthers to one state baseball title and was an All-State pick as a senior . . . Also an honorable mention All-Stater in basketball.

Personal:  An industrial safety major . . . Enjoys hunting and fishing among his hobbies . . . Birthdate is Jan. 23, 1989.
