Senior right-hander expected to inherit the closer’s role this season . . . Excelled in set-up situations as a junior and quickly established himself as one of the premier relievers in the Lone Star Conference . . . 2007: Provided stellar late-inning relief work and recorded a mark of 0-1 with a team-leading 2.45 earned run average . . . Made 18 appearances on the mound and surrendered just 13 base hits over 22 innings of work . . . Limited opposing batters to an average of .173 (13-for-75) and allowed just five extra base hits . . . Averaged nearly a strikeout an inning, racking up a total of 20 with a season-high of four . . . Recorded final two outs with tying run on-deck during 12-7 victory over Southwestern Oklahoma to earn a save . . . Suffered lone loss of the year during season-ending defeat to Angelo State at the LSC Posteason Tournament.   

Juco: Instrumental two-year member of the pitching staff at Redlands Community College . . . Was team’s closer as a sophomore after being used as a starter during his freshman season.

High School: Baseball standout at Midwest City High School . . . Competed on the Oklahoma Junior Sunbelt team . . . Class valedictorian.
