Biography
Two-time All-American and senior star who ranks as one of the premier players in the country … Dominating force on the court from her outside hitter post, able to rack up kills in a variety of ways … Also a sensational defender, either on the back row in digging up attacks or on the front line as a blocker … Has been the focus of the Central offense the last two years and will be again this season … Already one of the most decorated players in school history and will continue to etch her name in the record books in 2018 … Ranks ninth in career kills at UCO with 1,340, needing 212 more to move into the top five … Fiery competitor and vital team leader who has helped guide the Bronchos to 90 wins the last three years.
2017: Put together a fabulous junior campaign in earning MIAA Player of the Year and All-America honors … First-team All-America choice by the American Volleyball Coaches Association and a second-team pick by the Conference Commissioner’s Association … First-team All-Central Region section by both the AVCA and CCA … Topped the conference and ranked fifth in NCAA Division II in kills per set with 5.04 and was 10th nationally in total kills with 529, the sixth-best season in school history … Was sixth in Division II in points per set (5.45) … Had double-digit kills in 27 of 33 matches played and averaged 16.0 per match … Collected 20-plus kills eight times, highlighted by career-high 30-kill outing in five-set road win over Washburn … Hit .300 or better 12 times, topped by .444 performance against Missouri Southern with 14 kills and just two errors in 27 attacks … Hit .312 with 15 kills in national tournament loss to eventual champion Concordia-St. Paul … Three-time MIAA Hitter of the Week winner … Was second on the team in digs with 338 and had 17 matches with at least 10, including career-best 22 against Missouri Western … Finished fourth in total blocks (50) … Was a star off the court as well, earning third-team Academic All-America honors in addition to being a finalist for the MIAA’s Ken B. 2016: Became UCO’s fifth All-American following a super sophomore season … First-team All-MIAA honoree, first-team (AVCA) and second-team (CCA) All-Central Region selection and a third-team All-America pick by the AVCA … Led the Bronchos with 415 kills, ranking second in the league in kills per set (3.95) … Was also second on the team in digs with 326 and fourth in total blocks with 54 (17 solo, 37 assisted) … Posted double-digit kills in 24 of Central’s 34 matches … Had a streak of nine consecutive matches with at least 12 kills … Collected season-high 26 kills against Lindenwood … Had at least 20 kills five times ... Had at least three blocks eight times … Hit career-best .714 in sweep of Pittsburg State … Hit at least .300 in 16 matches … Named MIAA Hitter of the Week in Week eight after putting home 36 kills in two matches.
2015: Earned first-team All-MIAA recognition and was named the league’s Freshman of the Year ... Finished second on the team in kills with 396 and ranked eighth in the conference in kills per set (3.27) while hitting a solid .266 ... Added 58 total blocks and 110 digs ... Had double-digit kills in 25 of UCO’s 36 matches with six of 15-plus and averaged 11.0 kills a match ... Collected season-high 21 kills while hitting .410 in five-set win at Lindenwood ... Hit .300 or better in 17 matches, topped by .600 effort against Pittsburg State with 12 kills and no errors in 20 attacks ... Hit .571 with 17 kills and one error in 28 attempts in sweep of Missouri Southern ... Named MIAA Hitter of the Week twice ... Had two-plus blocks in 16 matches.
High School: Two-time All-State selection and three-time All-City pick at Bishop Carroll High School in Wichita, Kan. … Racked up 407 kills with a .362 attack percentage as a senior in addition to adding 246 digs and 40 service aces ...
