Biography

Multi-talented senior veteran who started at four different positions for the Bronchos last year before suffering late-season injury. . . Can play any of the three outfield spots and is slated to battle for the starting berth in right field . . . Line-drive hitter with excellent power while also showcasing great speed and should be a prime offensive weapon in 2013 . . . Came to UCO last year after sensational two-year career at Northern Oklahoma-Tonkawa.
 
2012:  Played in 34 games with 32 starts before missing the final 11 contests to injury, but still finished as the team’s leading hitter with a .427 average . . . Also topped the team in slugging percentage (.855), ripping 17 doubles and 11 home runs while driving in 37 runs . . . Hit a staggering .482 (27-for-56) with runners in scoring position . . . Had 17 multi-hit games, including a pair of four-hit outings . . . Belted two homers in three separate games, including on back-to-back days against St. Gregory’s and Arlington Baptist . . . Had three games with four-plus RBI . . . Put together a 10-game hitting streak late in the season, hitting a sizzling .550 (22-for-40) with nine doubles, six homers and 21 RBI during that stretch.
 
Juco:  Hit .419 with six doubles, five homers and 25 RBI as a freshman for the Mavericks in 2009 before missing the following season with injury . . . Came back in 2011 and batted a robust .450 with 72 hits in 160 at bats, collecting 19 doubles, nine homers and 53 RBI while also stealing 10 bases in earning All-Region accolades.
 
High School:  All-Stater as a senior at Stonewall High School after hitting .450 . . . Also a basketball standout for the Longhorns.
 
Personal:  Industrial safety major . . . Enjoys hunting and fishing as hobbies . . . Birthdate is Feb. 2, 1990.
