Biography

Senior pitcher slated to be one of the top starters in 2012 . . . Saw mostly relief duty last year in his first season with the Bronchos, but should shine in his new role . . . Powerful right-hander with an excellent curve ball who is looking for a banner final campaign.

2011:  Pitched in 13 games with two starts, finishing 4-3 with a 5.40 earned run average in 40.0 innings . . . Struck out 38 batters while allowing 37 hits . . . Went 1-1 in two starts, getting the victory in season-opener against Northwood after giving up two hits and one unearned run in four innings . . . Worked at least three innings in six of 11 relief appearances and gained three wins out of the bullpen . . . Allowed just two hits in 4 1/3 shutout innings to gain win over Tarleton State and was the victor against Abilene Christian after giving up two hits and one unearned run in 4 2/3 innings . . . Other relief win came against Incarnate Word after tossing 2 2/3 shutout innings . . . Had a stellar relief outing in no-decision performance against Southwestern Oklahoma, throwing no-hit ball for a season-high 6 2/3 innings while striking out nine.

Juco:  Played two years at long-time power Seminole State College.

High School:  Baseball-football standout at Plano West (Texas) High School.

Personal:  An education major . . . Names the Texas Rangers as his favorite pro team . . . Enjoys fishing among his hobbies . . . Birthdate is Nov. 10, 1988.
