Biography

Senior veteran and the most experienced Division II player on the roster as the only roster member in his fourth year with the Bronchos . . . Crafty southpaw who has pitched in 41 games during his career, making 27 relief appearances and 14 starts . . . Was a part-time starter his first two years, but came out of the bullpen all last season and should continue that role in 2012 . . . Team leader ready to be a big factor and finish his career in style.

2011:  Came on in relief in 10 games, recording one save while finishing with a miniscule 1.12 earned run average . . . Allowed 11 hits and just two earned runs in 16 innings while striking out 11 and walking four . . . Limited opponents to a .200 average . . . Earned the save in win over Oklahoma Panhandle, striking out three and allowing no hits in the final 3 2/3 innings.

2010:  Pitched in 13 games with 10 starts, the second-most on the team, and finished 2-4 with a 7.03 ERA . . . Also had the second-most innings pitched with 48 2/3 and went at least four innings in seven of his starts . . . Had one complete game, giving up just four hits and two earned runs in seven innings while striking out four in a 4-3 win over Texas A&M-Kingsville . . . Other win came in the season finale against Northeastern State when he allowed three earned runs in 5 1/3 innings . . . Allowed six hits and one earned run with one walk in 6 2/3-inning stint against Missouri Southern, but didn’t factor in the decision.
 
2009:  Appeared in 18 games with four starts and finished 3-3 with a 6.64 ERA . . . Struck out 30 and walked just 18 in 42 innings, with all three wins coming in relief . . . Allowed two hits in three shutout innings to pick up win against Arkansas-Monticello and tossed 3 1/3 shutout innings with four strikeouts in getting the victory over Texas A&M-Kingsville . . . Other win came with two-inning stint against Oklahoma Christian . . . Went a season-high six innings in start against Missouri Southern, but didn’t factor in the decision . . . Fanned a season-best five in 5 1/3-inning no-decision start vs. USAO.

2008:  Sat out a redshirt year.

High School:  Played at Edmond Santa Fe High School, going 11-0 as a junior in earning Oklahoman Big All-City honors.

Personal:  A business major . . . Has two brothers (Kevin and Kyle) who both played for the Bronchos . . . Names the Atlanta Braves as his favorite professional team . . . Birthdate is Feb. 1, 1989.
