Biography

Returning letterman set to step into a full-time starting role at linebacker this season . . . Athletic youngster who plays with great intensity and showed a hint of what he can do on the field last year . . . Should benefit from experience gained and is ready to become a major defensive force.

2009:  Made a pair of starts while playing in 10 games and finished with 27 tackles, including 3.5 for loss . . . Best outing came in first-ever start against Southwest Baptist, a 12-tackle effort that included a tackle for loss, a pass broken up and a quarterback hurry . . . Made six tackles with 1.5 for loss against Texas A&M-Commerce.

2008:   Redshirted.

High School:  District 3A-2 Linebacker of the Year pick as a senior at Marlow High School after racking up 111 tackles with 11 sacks and an interception . . . Also an All-Area performer in baseball.

Personal:  An industrial safety major . . . Enjoys fishing among his favorite hobbies . . . Birthdate is Dec. 24, 1988.
