Biography

Redshirt freshman expected to be a factor on the defensive line this season . . . Has a chance to start at nose guard and will see plenty of snaps regardless.

High School:  Had a big senior season at small-school powerhouse Heritage Hall High School, racking up 89 tackles with 11 sacks in earning All-District and All-State recognition . . . Also a state champion in the shot put and a third-place state finisher in the discus for the Chargers.

Personal:  A kinesiology major . . . Names the Dallas Cowboys and Cleveland Cavaliers as his top sports teams . . . Birthdate is Oct. 25, 1988.
