Junior quarterback and two-year letterman poised to push for the starting spot this season . . . Has paid his dues while seeing limited action in a back-up role the past two season and is ready to be a main contributor . . . Had a solid spring and will go into preseason drills with a chance to be UCO’s main signal caller.

2005: Was UCO’s holder for placement kicks while also playing sparingly in two games, hitting 2-of-5 passes for 17 yards.

2004:  Saw limited action and was 0-for-2 passing in two games.

2003:  Redshirted.

High School:  Set seven school passing records during prep career at Norman High School . . . All-Conference and All-District Offensive Player of the Year as a senior after passing for 2,298 yards and 21 touchdowns . . . Also a four-year letterman in baseball, earning All-State honors.

Personal:  A general studies major . . . Father (Mike) played quarterback at Oklahoma in the early 1980s . . . Lists Chris Simms as his favorite sports star . . . Enjoys golf and video games as his top hobbies . . . Birthdate is Sept. 28, 1984.
