Biography
Junior star and one of the finest players in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association ... Took over starting role immediately as a true freshman in 2019 and just keeps getting better . . . Superb all-around athlete and hard-hitting outside hitter who goes after attacks with a flourish ... Also a fine defender, both on the back row and at the net ... Showcases great consistency and a key team leader ... Will once again be a focal point of UCO’s offensive attack and is poised for another banner season.
2021: First-team All-MIAA selection after collecting team-high 343 kills, ranking fourth in the league in kills per set (3.43) ... Collected double-digit kills in 19 of 29 matches, including a streak of 10 straight to start the season ... Had seven matches with 15-plus kills, knocking down career-best 21 in four-set win over Western New Mexico ... Hit season-high .429 in sweep of Oklahoma Christian after finishing with 15 kills and no errors in 35 attacks ... Also finished with 284 digs, 41 total blocks and 17 service aces ... Made 10-plus digs 13 times with a high of 18.
2020: Season was canceled by the coronavirus pandemic, but gained more experience during UCO’s unofficial 20-match spring campaign.
2019: Led the team with 277 kills, ranking 10th in the league in kills per set (2.89), and was a second-team All-MIAA selection … Played in 29 of 31 matches and had double-digit kills in 15 of those contests … Put down season-high 20 kills in five-set home win over Missouri Southern … Had five other matches with at least 15 kills … Hit season-best .375 against Missouri Western, making 16 kills with just one error in 40 attempts … Hit .371 in sweep of Newman with 15 kills and two miscues in 35 attacks … Ended the season strong, averaging 15.3 kills per match and 4.1 per set in the last four matches … Also collected 211 digs, 25 total blocks and 15 service aces … Had 10-plus digs nine times, with career-high 23 coming in road upset of Northwest Missouri … Averaged 14.0 digs a match in the last five outings of the season, with 22 coming against Central Missouri.
High School: Capped prolific career at Valor Christian High School by leading team to Class 5A state title as a senior … Four-year starter, earning All-League honors three times and All-State recognition twice.
