UCO Pummels Pueblo

Bronchos Win 7-0 In Edmond

EDMOND – Central Oklahoma picked apart CSU Pueblo 7-0 Saturday afternoon at Broncho Courts.
 
UCO improved to 4-1 on the season with the win.
 
Central jumped out to an early 1-0 lead with wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles, plus a forfeit at No. 3. Pete Komada and Ayaka Koga teamed up for a 6-2 win at the top position and Haley Hibbets and Milana Quick won 6-0 at the second spot.
 
With a forfeit at No. 6 singles to make it 2-0, Hui Soo won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3, and Hibbets won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 4 to clinch the match for the Bronchos.
 
Komada won 6-0, 6-1 and Karyna Yurchenko won 6-2, 6-0 to make it 6-0. Quick won 7-6, 6-4 at No. 5 to make it the final, 7-0.
 
Central Oklahoma has five matches away from home over the next two-plus weeks. The Bronchos head to San Angelo, Texas next weekend for contests against Texas A&M Kingsville and Angelo State.
