EDMOND – Central Oklahoma beat Rogers State 64-61 Saturday afternoon at Hamilton Field House to earn a season split in the meeting of in-state rivals.

The Bronchos improved to 9-15 on the season and are now 6-8 in the MIAA.

UCO used an 11-2 run to end the first quarter ahead 16-11. Rogers got the game tied at halftime, 27-27. The Bronchos had to score the last five of the third quarter to get it to a one-point game, 45-44, heading to the final frame. Both teams made baskets to start the fourth before the big run.

Central Oklahoma is home for two games next week, including Senior Day Saturday. The Bronchos will host Washburn first on Thursday night before welcoming Central Missouri to Hamilton Field House for the home finale on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
