Bronchos Tip Off New Season Monday Night

Central Oklahoma Begins 2026-27 Season At Hamilton Field House

EDMOND – Central Oklahoma tips off the 2026-27 season Monday night when the Bronchos host Southwest Christian at Hamilton Field House.

Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.

"We're excited to get started for real," second-year UCO head women's basketball coach Hannah Moeller said. "We've had a lot of good practices and we're figuring things out. We've had some good scrimmages too. But we're looking forward to getting started with official games.

"We have a good mix of returners and newcomers and we'll need all of them to step up," Moeller continued. "I think the returners have done a good job of bringing in the newcomers with welcoming arms. Everyone has something to add and we need everyone to be ready when we call on them."

Central Oklahoma went 10-18 last season with a 5-14 record in the MIAA. The Bronchos averaged 62.3 points per game. Defensively, UCO held opponents to 64.4 points per game.

The Bronchos welcome back six players from last year's squad. That includes the top four scorers.

Nykaiya Dillard scored 11.5 points per game to lead the group and did so coming off the bench. Kaitlyn McCarn scored 10.5 points per game, Bobbie Fouquet put up 9.1 points per game, and Jerney Bennett scored 8.8 points per game.

Peyton Walker played in 27 of 28 games and made 25 starts. She returns for her third season after averaging 3.6 points per game a year ago. Parker Simonsen is the sixth returner. Also entering her third season, she played in 11 games last season.

Four sophomores, a redshirt freshman, and one true freshman make up the newcomers. Macy Marraccini (Missouri S&T), Maley Wilhelm (Colorado Christian), Wrigley Adkisson (Southwestern Oklahoma State, and Amaria Musick (Central Missouri) all bring experience to UCO. Olivia Robben spent her first year at UCM with Musick but did not play. Ady Hybl is a true freshman.

Dillard leading the team in scoring off the bench as a true freshman was a high point for the Bronchos. The Oklahoma City native scored in double figures in 15 of 28 games and had three 20-point outings. Dillard scored a season-high 25 points at Rogers State in December. She also averaged 3.1 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game last season.

McCarn was steady for the Bronchos as a sophomore and started in all 28 games. She played 29.8 minutes per game. McCarn scored in double figures in 18 games and had a season-high 18 points three times. From Mountain View, Arkansas, McCarn also averaged 4.8 rebounds per game.

Fouquet scored 9.1 points per game and pulled down 5.9 rebounds per game in her first year at Central last season. From Claude, Texas, the lone senior on this year's squad made 21 3-pointers last year and is the leading returner from outside.

Bennett came to UCO last season as a sophomore and while her 8.8 points and 7.9 rebounds per game were big, her 3.9 blocks per game made the statement. Bennett broke the UCO single season shot block record with 109 total blocked shots. The Edmond native led the MIAA and finished fourth nationally in blocks per game.

Walker has been a key part of the Bronchos the past two seasons. A Kingfisher, Oklahoma native, Walker played in 55 of 56 games during her first two seasons and has started in 50 games. She does a little of everything. Walker averaged 3.6 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.2 steals per game during her sophomore campaign.

Marraccini played in all 26 games for Missouri S&T last season and made 10 starts. She averaged 24.8 minutes per game. The Broken Arrow, Oklahoma native scored 7.6 points per game and added 4.6 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.4 steals per game.

Wilhelm played in 22 games at Colorado Christian last season and made seven starts. In 22.4 minutes per game, the Parker, Colorado native averaged 4.4 points and 4.1 rebounds per game while chipping in 1.6 assists and 1.3 steals per game.

Adkisson played in 10 games at Southwestern Oklahoma State last season. Originally from Sapulpa, Oklahoma, Adkisson scored five points and had nine rebounds in 50 total minutes played.

Musick played in 14 games at Central Missouri last season before a season-ending injury. The former Bixby, Oklahoma standout averaged 2.6 points and 1.9 rebounds in 10.3 minutes per game.

Robben was a Kansas All-State selection out of Olathe South before going to Central Missouri and sitting out her rookie season. Hybl earned All-State honors at Norman High last season.

Central Oklahoma tips off Monday night against Southwest Christian. The Bronchos will travel to Arkansas for a pair of games next weekend. UCO takes on Henderson State Nov. 12 and Ouachita Baptist Nov. 13 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas as part of the MIAA/GAC Challenge.
