UCO Drops Opener In Wisconsin

WISCONSIN DELLS, Wisc. – Central Oklahoma opened the 2026-27 season on Friday evening but a cold shooting performance left the Bronchos on the wrong side of an 82-62 setback against Northern Michigan.

NMU is hosting the D2CCA Midwest Tipoff Classic at Just A Game Fieldhouse in Wisconsin Dells. The Bronchos return to the court on Saturday to face West Texas A&M and will wrap up the opening weekend against Harding on Sunday afternoon. Both games tipoff at 3:45 p.m.

Central Oklahoma shot just 37.0 percent overall and was at 27.2 percent in the first half. The Bronchos went 2-for-11 from behind the 3-point line. UCO was able to get to the line 30 times on Friday and made 26 of those shots, an 86.7 percent rate, to help the cause.

Donovan Lovelace led the Bronchos in scoring with 18 points. He was 5-for-9 from the floor and 8-for-9 at the free throw line. The UCO big man only had one rebounds and four fouls in 21 minutes, but he also had two blocked shots.

Pavel Ivanov scored 13 points on 4 of 6 shooting, including one 3-pointer, and he went 4-for-4 at the line. Ivanov had two boards and two steals. Making his return after missing most of last season, Jacobi Sebock scored 11 points in 38 minutes of play. He went 3-for-8 from the floor and 5-for-6 at the line.

Trey Tuck (six), Brady Hancuff (five), Jarreth Ingram (four), Ajani Jamison (three) and Jack Robinson (two) all got in the scorebook as well on Friday. Ingram and Robinson led UCO with five rebounds each.
