Riley Roberts Earns Third MIAA Weekly Award

Central Oklahoma Senior Named MIAA Setter of the Week For Third Time This Season

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Central Oklahoma senior Riley Roberts was named MIAA Setter of the Week for the second week in a row and the third time this season, the league announced Monday.
 
Roberts continued to lead Central Oklahoma as the Bronchos pushed their win streak to seven games. UCO beat Arkansas Fort Smith 3-1 on Thursday in Joplin before taking down Missouri Southern 3-0 on Friday night. MSSU hosted the MIAA In-Season Tournament in Joplin this weekend.
 
Roberts dished out 91 assists, an impressive 13.00 assists per set. She also had seven kills and an ace, and on the defensive side, 13 digs and one block.
 
Roberts had a career-high 52 assists in the four-set win over UAFS on Thursday and had 39 more in the Southern sweep.
 
A Washington, Oklahoma native and a Norman North product, Roberts is a veteran in her fourth year with the Bronchos. She's played in 112 career matches for UCO. This season, she has 731 assists in 22 contests. She averages 9.62 assists per set. Roberts also has 78 kills (1.03/set), 15 service aces, 197 digs (2.59/set), and 35 total blocks including a pair of solo stops.
 
Roberts has been named MIAA Setter of the Week in Week 3, Week 7, and now Week 8.
 
Central Oklahoma is 17-5 overall this season and brings a seven-match win streak into this week's slate of games. The Bronchos are 4-2 in the MIAA. UCO hosts Fort Hays State on Friday night at Hamilton Field House. It's Senior Night in Edmond and Roberts will be recognized prior to first serve. The Bronchos also host Nebraska Kearney on Saturday afternoon.
 
UCO will spend the final two weekends of the season on the road, playing at Emporia State and Pittsburg State before trips to Northeastern State and Arkansas Fort Smith. The 2026 MIAA Volleyball Championship is scheduled for Nov. 12-14 in St. Joseph, Missouri.
