UCO Is Receiving Votes In Preseason Tennis Poll

Central Oklahoma Just Outside Top 25 In First National Rankings Of 2026

TEMPE, Ariz. – Central Oklahoma is receiving votes in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Preseason Coaches' Poll announced Wednesday.
 
The Bronchos are the second team outside the Top 25. UCO begins its season Thursday, Feb. 5 against No. 18 UT Tyler in Edmond. The Bronchos will also play Southwest Baptist the following day before heading to Arkansas for a Sunday match against Arkansas Tech.
 
The Bronchos have nine home matches this season, including five non-conference contests and four MIAA duals.
 
UCO features one ranked individual in senior All-American Pete Komada, who is No. 15 in the country in the ITA Singles rankings. Komada and teammate Ayaka Koga are also No. 13 in the country in the ITA Doubles rankings.
 
Central Oklahoma went 13-7 last season and won the MIAA Women's Tennis Championship before falling the first round of the national tournament.
