LEXINGTON, Ky. – Central Oklahoma is ranked No. 2 in the country in this week's AVCA Top 25 coaches' poll announced Monday.
The Bronchos are 9-0 this season and have won all nine matches in three sets. UCO went 5-0 last week, beating Oklahoma Baptist in Edmond before taking all four matches at the Rattler Invitational in San Antonio, Texas.
UCO is home this week, hosting Texas Woman's on Tuesday night before co-hosting an MIAA/GAC crossover event with Oklahoma Baptist Thursday-Saturday. UCO hosts Southwestern Oklahoma State, East Central, Northwestern Oklahoma State, and Southern Nazarene at Hamilton Field House this week. There are eight total matches in the conference crossover that also features MIAA squads Emporia State and Fort Hays State.
The MIAA and the Central Region are well represented in the Top 25. Nebraska Kearney is ranked No. 5 and Washburn is ranked No. 9, while 11 of 25 teams in the poll are part of the Central Region.
