Terin Ritz Named First Team All-American

NFCA Honors Junior Standout For Second Straight Year

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Terin Ritz garnered a major postseason award Wednesday when the Central Oklahoma standout was named a First Team All-American by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.

The junior pitcher/first baseman was selected as the utility player after a dominating season at the plate and in the circle for the Bronchos. A Third Team All-America pick by the NFCA last year, Ritz becomes just the sixth player in school history to earn at least two All-American honors.

"This is a great honor for Terin," head coach Cody White said. "We know she's one of the best players in the country and it's good to see her get the recognition she deserves. She had an amazing year for us and we wouldn't have had near the success we did without her."

Ritz led the Bronchos to a 43-14 record and a fourth straight NCAA Division II national tournament appearance in 2024 while putting together one of the best all-around seasons in school history.

The Deer Creek High School product went 21-7 with a paltry 1.50 earned run average in 31 pitching appearances, limiting opponents to a .219 average. She struck out 97 batters and walked just 25 in 163.1 innings and threw 14 complete games with six shutouts.

Ritz was equally productive at the plate, hitting .381 with an .819 slugging percentage and .493 on base percentage. She belted 18 home runs to go along with 12 doubles, two triples and 58 runs batted in. The 18 homers rank fourth on UCO's single-season list, while the RBIs are ninth.

Ritz will go into her senior season in 2025 already ranked in the top 10 in several school career categories. Pitching-wise, she's sixth in wins (54), ninth in innings pitched (401.2) and 10th in strikeouts (244) and shutouts (11) while offensively she ranks seventh in homers (33) and 10th in RBIs (134).

Ritz was named MIAA Co-Player of the Year and a First Team All-MIAA selection at pitcher before earning First Team All-Central Region honors at utility by both the NFCA and Conference Commissioner's Association. The CCA All-America teams will be announced Thursday.
