PITTSBURG, Kan. – Central Oklahoma played Pittsburg State in soccer for the first time ever Friday and the Bronchos came away with a 1-0 victory in the MIAA contest.

UCO improved to 9-5-3 on the season with the win and 6-2-3 in the MIAA.

"We did a good job today of pressing today and made their defense work hard," UCO head women's soccer coach Amel Muhamedagic said. "Our defense did a great job. Everyone worked hard to keep them off the scoreboard and we got it done. We have one game left, and we need to keep this momentum going."

Central Oklahoma is off Sunday but wraps up the 2024 regular season at Newman Wednesday, Nov. 6 in Wichita, Kansas. The Bronchos have moved into fourth place in the MIAA standings with today's win. The top four teams in the final standings Wednesday night host a quarterfinal match in the MIAA Women's Soccer Championship Nov. 10.
