MARYVILLE, Mo. – Central Oklahoma dropped an MIAA road contest at Northwest Missouri Thursday night, 97-50.

UCO is 10-15 overall and now 7-14 in the MIAA with one game remaining in the regular season. The Bronchos play at Newman Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

"They shot lights out tonight and we couldn't stop them, that's really all we can say," first-year head women's coach Emma Andrews said. "They got better as the game went on and we couldn't keep up with it."

Northwest Missouri shot 54.7 percent from the floor overall on Thursday night and an astounding 60.9 percent from behind the 3-point line, making 14 of 23 shots from outside.

UCO scored the first basket of the game, with Aspen Williston putting in a layup on the first possession of the game. Then everything went cold. The Bronchos played better in the second quarter, shooting 50 percent (7-for-14) from the floor. Northwest did outscore the Bronchos though, 23-17, and took a 42-21 lead into halftime.
