UCO Ties Newman In Finale

WICHITA, Kan. – Central Oklahoma wrapped up the 2022 regular season Sunday with a 0-0 tie at Newman.

The Bronchos finished the regular season with an 11-3-4 overall record and a 6-3-2 record in league play.

"It was tough conditions for both teams with the wind today, but I think we had our chances," UCO head women's soccer coach Mike Cook said. "We had our chances but we couldn't convert. The defense played really well today."

Central Oklahoma was in complete control of the first half, outshooting Newman 10-1. The Bronchos put three of those 10 shots on goal, while Newman's one shot was off target.

Lauren Piper, Rebecca Tweedy and Adria Ramirez all got shots on goal in the first 45.

The second half played the same. The Bronchos took eight total shots in the second 45 and put five of them on goal, but still couldn't find the back of the net.
