"They hit some big shots down the stretch and found a way," UCO head coach Bob Hoffman said. "We played well but not well enough. We need to move on from this and try to break out of this little slump so we can focus on the last two games here."

Central Oklahoma led for 32 minutes and eight seconds Wednesday afternoon. Rogers State led for just six.

UCO took an early lead in the first half and held that till the five-minute mark of the second half. Central tied it on a couple of occasions down the stretch but couldn't finish off Rogers State.

Haydon and Wade both scored again to give Central an 8-4 lead, and Givens knocked down a 3-pointer to make it 11-4, UCO, with just under 15 minutes to play in the first half.

The Bronchos soon led by nine, 17-8, as Shemar Smith knocked down a 3-pointer of his own. The lead stayed between six and nine points for the Bronchos for a good part of the first half. Haydon also hit a 3-pointer with just over nine minutes to play that gave UCO a 22-13 lead.

Rogers State cut the lead to five, and then four, late in the first half, but Smith and Wade made back-to-back baskets to give the Bronchos a 29-21 lead with six minutes to play.

RSU cut it to four again in the final minute of the first half but Central went into halftime with a 38-32 lead thanks to a Haydon buzzer beater. Haydon scored 15 first-half points. Wade had 10 points and eight rebounds in the first 20 minutes.

After the break, Central held firm to its lead, not allowing Rogers State to get any closer than two possessions for the first 15 minutes of the second half. But when RSU finally cracked the seal, UCO couldn't counter.
