Bronchos Fall To 11th

EDMOND (Jan. 20) -- Central Oklahoma fell from third to 11th in the NCAA Division II rankings that were released Wednesday by rthe NCAA Division II Wrestling Coaches Association.

The Bronchos dropped after going 1-2 at the NWCA Division II national Duals and then falling to Nebraska-Kearney last week. UCO rebounded to take a pair of lopsided wins in the Lone Star Duals last Saturday in improving to 5-4 on the season.

Three individuals are ranked for the Bronchos -- heavyweight Dustin Finn (third), 149-pounder Colby Robinson (sixth) and 125-pounder Casy Rowell (eighth).

UCO goes back on the road Thursday, traveling to Alamosa, Colo. to take on No. 14 Adams State before moving on to Las Vegas, N.M. Friday to meet New Mexico Highlands.

Defending national champion Nebraska-Omaha -- which visits UCO on Jan. 29 -- was the unanimous No. 1 pick in the poll. Newberry (S.C.), Pittsburgh-Johnstown (Pa.), Minnesota State and Gannon (Pa.) rounded out the top five.
