AUSTIN, Texas (Dec. 20) –
Cristina Yarbrough scored a career-high 20 points and moved into Central Oklahoma's top-five list for all-time assists in leading the No. 12-ranked Bronchos to a 75-57 rout of St. Edward's here Saturday.

It was the fourth straight win for UCO, which completed a perfect two-day run in the St. Edward's Christmas Classic in improving to 9-1 and equaling the best 10-game start in school history.

Yarbrough made 8-of-12 shots – including all four 3-point tries – in her 20-point outing while adding four assists and two steals. The junior guard moved into fifth place on the school's career assists list with 296.

“Cristina gave us a big spark today,” UCO coach Guy Hardaker said. “She shot the ball well and made some key baskets when they tried to make a run at us.  It was a good weekend for us and it will be nice to have a few days off to rest before we get back at it.”

The Bronchos, who don't play again until going to Texas A&M-Kingsville on Jan. 3, shot 51.8 percent (29-of-56) from the field and committed just 13 turnovers.

Lizzie Brenner added 13 points, seven rebounds and four blocked shots in the contest, while Rose Anderson hit 6-of-8 shots in a 13-point outing as both were named to the all-tournament team.

UCO never trailed, jumping out to a 5-0 lead just 46 seconds into the game with Ashley Beckley hitting a layup after the opening tip and Yarbrough draining a 3-pointer following a Brenner steal.

The Bronchos went up by 10 (17-7) on a Brenner free throw at the 14:43 mark and led by 16 at 28-12 with 9:29 left in the half after a Brenner steal and layup en route to taking a 42-29 lead into intermission.

Yarbough had two treys and a driving layup to help UCO re-establish a 16-point cushion at 51-35 in the early stages of the second half and the Bronchos coasted in the rest of the way.
