Sarah Tyree

Sarah Tyree joined the University of Central Oklahoma rowing coaching staff in November 2024, bringing her expertise and passion to the Broncho program.

As the Director of Recruiting, Tyree will play a key role in identifying and developing talent, with a special focus on Out-of-Sport athletes and Walk-ons. Her ability to connect with and mentor athletes from diverse backgrounds will strengthen the team’s depth and foster a culture of excellence. In her coaching role, Tyree will primarily work with the Varsity 4+ and Open 4+ crews, preparing them for success in the lead-up to the GNAC (Great Northwest Athletic Conference) Championship. Her dedication to athlete development and competitive spirit will be invaluable as the Bronchos continue to build on their tradition of excellence in collegiate rowing.

As a coxswain at Oklahoma City University (OCU), Tyree demonstrated exceptional leadership and technical skills. She was instrumental in guiding the men's varsity four to a 17th-place finish at the 2022 IRA Championships, showcasing her ability to lead crews at the highest levels of competition. Tyree also played a pivotal role in OCU's success at the Dad Vail Regatta, contributing to the team's gold medal performances and solidifying her reputation as a skilled and strategic coxswain.  Her experience and accomplishments as a student-athlete provide a strong foundation for her coaching career, bringing valuable insights and firsthand knowledge to the UCO rowing program.
