Kregg Matthews joined the University of Central Oklahoma athletics department in August 2024 and serves as Coordinator of Multimedia Services.

A native of Jefferson City, Missouri, Matthews joined the Broncho staff after earning his bachelor’s degree in Sports Management at Oklahoma Christian University. There, he served as a student worker and later a graduate assistant in the athletics' communications office. Most recently, he moved into the role of Director for Athletics Communications for two years (2022-24).

During his time as an SID, Matthews covered two NCAA DII Men’s Golf National Championships, the NCAA DII Men’s Golf Coach of the Year, GCAA Hall of Fame inductee and multiple Lone Star Conference players of the year, and in his last spring he covered the school’s first trip to the NCAA DII Softball Super Regionals.

Matthews was also a part of the OKC Sparks’ inaugural season, working as the official scorer for games split between UCO’s campus and the award-winning Gerry Pinkston Stadium, and Devon Park.

Matthews will serve UCO as the Coordinator of Media Services for athletics, producing the home streams on the MIAA Network, and maintaining and running the in-game video features across Central Oklahoma’s venues. He also provides support for the department's technology needs.
