Chandler Short joined the University of Central Oklahoma in February 2023 and serves as Deputy Athletic Director for Corporate Sales & Marketing in addition to her role as Senior Woman Administrator.

Short oversees UCO’s corporate sales program and the marketing efforts of the department and its 14 varsity sports. As SWA, Short works on behalf of the female voice in UCO athletics including student-athletes, coaches, and administrators. Short serves as a sport administrator for football, soccer, women's basketball, and rowing.

A native of Edgewood, Texas, Short came to UCO after spending the previous six years at McPherson College in McPherson, Kansas. She joined McPherson in 2017 and was promoted to assistant athletic director and SWA in 2018, then was promoted again to director of athletics in March 2020.
 
Short graduated from McPherson in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science. She played women's basketball and tennis for the Bulldogs during her time there. She then attended the University of Oklahoma and received her master’s degree in higher education and intercollegiate athletics administration in 2017. Short earned her doctorate in higher education from Southern Methodist University in 2024.
