Biography

Former starter expected to contend for No. 1 spot at 174 pounds … Excellent athlete with great explosiveness and has the ability to have a big impact … Also a starting defensive back on UCO football team and won’t get on the mat until mid-November at the earliest … Late addition to the team in 2019-20 after playing football and battled for starting spot before finally emerging on top … Spent two years on wrestling roster at Wisconsin-Parkside before transferring to UCO to play football … Gained extra year of eligibility when NCAA elected to not count the shortened 2020-21 season.

2021-22: Finished 12-3 with eight bonus-point wins while seeing action at 165 and 174 … Competed in three open tournaments and a pair of duals … Won title at the Bob Smith Open and was co-champion with teammate Barrett Haemker in the Golden Norse Open … Also took third in the Jet Open … Played in nine games for football team, finishing with 29 tackles and one interception.

2020-21: Practiced, but didn’t see any action.

2019-20: Had solid season despite late start, finishing 17-8 with eight bonus wins … First action was at the Fort Hays State Open and lost opening-round match there before reeling off five straight wins to take third … Outscored four opponents a combined 54-3 in winning Jet Open title, notching three technical falls … Won first match at Super Regional IV Tournament, then fell in semifinals before winning major decision in consolation semis … Dropped tough 4-3 decision to McKendree’s third-ranked Josh Jones in third-place match that determined national tournament berth ... Lettered in reserve role at defensive back in football for the Bronchos.

UWP: Redshirted in 2017-18 for the Rangers and then saw limited action the following season.

High School: Racked up 104 career wins at Greenfield High School in Milwaukee and was a two-time state qualifier, placing third once ...  Was also a two-time Wisconsin National Team Member.

Personal: Kinesiology & Exercise Fitness Management major ... Birthdate is May 28, 1998.
